On Wednesday, Nov 3rd, 2021 from 18:00 to 19:00 PDT, we will be performing maintenance on the CDP database. During the maintenance we will upgrade the CDP database version, which will improve performance and reliability.
Although the maintenance window duration is 60 minutes, the database will only become unreachable for no longer than 30 minutes in total. We expect this to be followed by a recovery period of around 30 minutes during which the system will gradually return to full throughput.
# Impact
During the maintenance and recovery, customers may experience the following:
- The CDP API (api-cdp.treasuredata.com) will be unavailable
The CDP API endpoints, that are mainly used for TD Console, will be unavailable during the maintenance and will respond with a 500 error code. And also CDP related features on TD Console will be unavailable. (NOTE: Profiles API and TD API won’t be affected by this maintenance.)

# Communication
Beyond this notice, we will provide updates approximately 1 hour before the beginning of the maintenance window, at the start and completion of the operation, and once the verification is completed.
